Looking at the transport challenges in New South Wales, this has certainly been a year where there have been unprecedented levels of government infrastructure spending on a number of ground-breaking and exciting transport projects. It certainly has been one of those years where you really had to concentrate to keep abreast of what was going on in this space. What is certain though, is that in about 18 months, the effects of these projects should be felt throughout the State, touching and improving the lives of many people.
As a boutique transport planning and engineering company, we really had to be smart about the NSW government projects we decided to commit to this year to ensure that we could still service all our clients and the variety of projects that we work on.
One of the biggest projects PeopleTrans have been hard at work on is the Sydney Metro Northwest, where we were asked to undertake a substantial monitoring study for Australia’s largest public transport infrastructure project.
Our professional team is growing in numbers and expertise and I am really proud of what we have achieved this year. 2019 is definitely going to be another year of growth for PeopleTrans either incrementally or through other strategic partnerships with some exciting overseas opportunities emerging.
Other projects that our staff have been particularly proud of are listed below and also included the Rosebery Traffic and Transport Study for the City of Sydney, the North Sydney Public Domain Strategy and Campbell Parade Bondi Beach Masterplan with ASPECT Studios, the Willoughby Council Resident Permit Parking Review and providing evidence to the NSW Parliamentary Inquiry into Commuter Car Parking.
Our office will be closed from Friday 21 December 2018 and will reopen Monday 7 January 2019. Thank you for the support over 2018 and we look forward to 2019. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Regards,
Alan Stewart
